Overview

Young farmer’s daughter Johanna Lambert works as a maid to support her struggling family. No one suspects that a hidden treasure lies beneath the Lambert family’s woodland: crude oil. Only Richard, the son of neighboring wealthy landowner Wilhelm Pape, knows the truth and dreams of a future with Johanna.
